A Solar Storm Is Coming - Be Prepared

Why should anyone prepare for a Solar Storm, Earth Changes, Global Warming, or Climate Change which are just some of the subjects touched on in the documentary “Contact Has Begun” (featuring futurist James Gilliland).

Have we not been assured and reassured by many scientists that all their worst fears are going to take decades and possibly centuries to actually happen.

Why then would a documentary such as "Contact Has Begun" suggest that there might be global changes as soon as 2010?

WHY?

Because there are scientists who are extremely concerned about the current “solar maximum” – a period of storms on the sun which will reach a climax within the next few years.

Previous storms have disrupted the power grid throughout the northern East Coast of the United States and far into Canada.

Some earlier ones have also broken telegraph connections between Europe and North America.

But none has been as serious or as potentially disruptive as what is coming.

One thing that is a pretty normal response is to say “not in my lifetime,” and then ignore the whole issue and go on with “life as usual.”

For such people there must come a time when life will be completely unusual.

But for those of us who are a little more aware, let’s take a close look at the sun and its cycles and see why we should be concerned, and be prepared for this event alone – let alone the earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions that are also in our near future.

If you’re familiar with doing Google searches on the Internet, it’s a piece of cake to type in “Sun solar maximum” (without the quotes) and at the top of the list of search results is this:

That story came out in 2006.

Just six months later NOAA (the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) was also going public about the coming solar maximum.

So you can see that it’s not just lone voices in the wilderness such as James Gilliland at his ECETI sanctuary trying to alert us to this pending event.

Despite public denials by all sorts of politicians about global warming earth changes and climate change and the fact that some scientists have been muzzled or censored for political reasons - the fact is that both NASA and NOAA are doing their job.

They are telling us to be aware and that suggests that we need to individually be prepared.

Because..."Biggest Breach Of Earth's Solar Storm Shield Discovered"

That story has just hit the back pages of the mainstream media...but there is also a fascinating video clip that illustrates what it might mean.

Did you notice, however, that that clip ONLY mentions the possibility of damage toi astronauts and space craft, and thje 'possible' disruption to electricity grids?

Yes, it did say we should "be prepared."

But here's the thing.

After almost 50 years as a journalist and director, I just happen to know how to 'read' these stories...and this one 'reads' like many that tell only part of the problem.

You can sense when a story is not the full story - or when the script has left out more than it has included.

In this case, what has been left out is this...solar storms will more than likely disrupt every electrical generating and electricity dependent device on earth.

You just have to connect the dots to know this is a fact.

NASA and Themis have given us some of the dots. But it's up to us to make the connections. (That's what our minds are supposed to do, isn't it?

"During an unprecedented solar eruption last December (2006), researchers at Cornell University confirmed solar radio bursts can have a serious impact on the Global Positioning System (GPS) and other communication technologies using radio waves.

"Solar radio bursts begin with a solar flare that injects high-energy electrons into the solar upper atmosphere. Radio waves are produced which then propagate to the Earth and cover a broad frequency range. The radio waves act as noise over these frequencies, including those used by GPS and other navigational systems which can degrade a signal."

""Measurements with NJIT's solar radiotelescope confirmed, at its peak, the burst produced 20,000 times more radio emission than the entire rest of the sun. This was enough to swamp GPS receivers over the entire sunlit side of Earth."

But to read the story, you'd think it had very little impact at all - because the major problem was NOT included in their story.

The problem was...well...shucks..it seems to have disappeared from any reference points on the internet....but what happened was that aircraft landing systems had their GPS equipment suddenly fail.

Sure, they had backups so none of them crashed.

But what about the future?

Here’s another dot or two from an independent source, Newscientisttech.com which says:

"Navigation, power and communications systems that rely on GPS satellite navigation will be disrupted by violent solar activity in 2011, research shows.

"A study reveals Global Positioning System receivers to be unexpectedly vulnerable to bursts of radio noise produced by solar flares, created by explosions in the Sun's atmosphere.

"When solar activity peaks in 2011 and 2012, it could cause widespread disruption to aircraft navigation and emergency location systems that rely heavily on satellite navigation data.

Need More Be Said?

Yes. a little.

For one thing, although such storms are a natural part of a long storm cycle on the sun, this type of activity has not been experienced in the very few decades since our planet moved into high technology and microchips - which rely on very minute electronic pulses to do their work.

And they were proven to be vulnerable when GPS landing aids failed at many airports around the world in December 2006.

Should we be prepared - or should we just shrug our shoulders and say "not in my lifetime."

“I know you had a previous solar flare ECR (Earth Change Report).

“I just watched "Naked Science--Solar Storm Education" newly aired tonight on NatGeo Channel.

“It mentioned a time of "predicted" increase of solar flares, as part of a "solar maximum" cycle of increased sunspots and thus more potential solar flare threats of intensities visited upon Quebec a few years back.

“The next "scheduled" increase is in 2012.

“Add to that the alignment of the planets and stars at that time, and (it) is not known what effects that may have.

“On another matter, do you have or know of any links to upcoming "prophecies" as they relate to other cultures and religions?

“I do not mean to ask your religion or lack of it but only to add another dimension to all these Earth changes into a spiritual/ historical framework based on differing texts and prophecies.

“Just as the Dec.21, 2012 is part of the ending of a system and the start of a new in the Mayan calendar, other ancient cultures and texts speak of endtime scenarios that may clarify, albeit from a spiritual view, as well as the accompanying Earth changes and regional difficulties and events?”

My Response:

There are indeed other prophecies about these times and many web sites that you can find by typing something like "Hopi 2012 Prophecy" into your search engine.

They seem to range from the Hopi wisdom to apocalyptic expectations to "end world" scenarios, to "the rapture" and "Armageddon."

Personally, I feel that some of these are totally off the wall...and yet they are so ingrained in some people's minds that they are actually creating the very destruction they focus on.

But I don't have an issue with their beliefs. Nor does it matter if they disagree with mine. There are more important issues these days than arguing over such things. (So I won't be answering any emails on this subject).

In terms of my own web site and articles about earth changes, I tend to keep what science and current real events (volcanic eruptions, earthquakes) are telling us as the main focus of my newsletters.

That's because the future is malleable - changeable - and while I respect what past prophets have said, they could only "see" a certain time-line or potential, as it existed at the time they "saw" it.

If everything they "saw" was set in stone, that would mean that there is no possibility of change...which in turn would mean everything is predestined...and therefore we have no use for free will.

In my understanding, they were actually ALL telling us to be AWARE of these PROBABILITIES...

It's like scientists now warning us about the likelihood of all electrical equipment on this planet going on the fritz when this current Solar Cycle 24 finally lets loose with some major Coronal Mass Ejections.

They may not be "prophets" in the traditional definition of the word, but they are certainly "seeing" a potential future...and the odds are that they are seeing it very clearly.

But are we?

We are provided with their information, we can even check it out in many ways for ourselves...and if we're half way wise, we'll start looking at the future as if there is no electricity at all. And we'll prepare accordingly.

Frankly, I feel it is more important to take the approach of being prepared as best one can (or however one chooses) for what is coming, than to get sidetracked into the realms of prophecy and prediction.

That's because good prophets know that the future can change...if people change...and those prophecies (though not all of them) can become null and void, because we take a swing down a different future road.

Nevertheless, we as humans do not have "total" control over this planet and its future.

She too has a "consciousness" if you will. She is a living being - pulsing with life - but she is under severe duress because of mistreatment and abuse by us humans.

She too needs to change and clean herself up. So she's going to shake herself like a BIG dog...and the fleas are going to get a shock.

Meantime...be a good little boy scout...and "Be Prepared."

Now that's a good motto don't you think?
