Earth Changes Here And Now

From the desk of Editor Michael Knight July 19 08

In this issue: Fire at Mt Adams.

Science/Spirit Conference update.

Graphic Greenland pictures –two die in a glacial lake meltdown.

Western Australia recovers from a huge storm.

Scientists oppose the Global Warming concept.

NASA looks back at Earth – from 31 million miles out.

Three earthquakes – and one of the biggest tsunami waves ever recorded.

Fire on Mt Adams
“The mountain is still burning but so far we are not in any danger.”

Those words from James Gilliland, whose ECETI sanctuary is not far from Mt Adams.

The blaze has totaled well over 7000 acres and according to James it could have been contained a lot earlier if the response hadn’t been delayed. (Pic by Sky8/KGONews)

“Almost everyone in Trout Lake called in the fire. There were repeated calls asking is anyone going to go up there and deal with it while it was a very small event. 24 hours later people were still calling then it took off in a massive inferno.

“My thumb is out for the next ship leaving. Not really but I will have to admit there is not a lot of intelligent life left on this planet…”

Now let's meet James Gilliland - the man whose story we told in "Contact Has Begun" - including his meetings with ETs, and his observations about earth changes in that documentary.

He was interviewed on consciousmedianetwork.com

James hosted this year's Science Spirit and World Transformation conference at his sanctuary in early July.

I was the first speaker, my subject being Earth Changes. That, and a report on presentations by others, including Dr Miceal Ledwith, Dr Brooks Agnew, Dr Meg Blackburn-Losey and William Henry (co-host of "Dreamland") are the subject of an e-Book which I am currently compiling.

The working title is "Earth Changes - Mind Matters" simply because of the fabulous up-to-the-minute information these world-class speakers revealed about how to literally use Thought in a special process that creates one's personal future.

I used some of the techniques they revealed, and created magic in a matter of days (more about that in the e-book).

It will be available shortly at a discount for ECR subscribers. (Simply fill in this form to suybscribe and qualify for the discounted version). (Subscribers to "New ECR" please note - you will get an even deeper discount).

James Gilliland Book Soul Journey
James has also written a trilogy of books. Each one of them is unique.

They include "Reunion Wiuth Source", "Becoming Gods II" and "The Ultimate Soul Journey."

If you are looking to understand some of the deeper mysteries of yourself - life - even God - then these are fascinating reading.

And at present they're at a special price on this page.

And by the way, the documentary sells on this site only for $5 less than anywhere else.

Greenland - Changing Times and Tragedy

Greenland Glacier lake melted

(Pic: A glacial lake on Greenland as it appeared after it was drained by a glacial wave August 2007. Photographer: Jørgen Larsen).

Greenland is in the news - a tragedy adds emphasis to concerns that its glaciers are melting, and that will both add to sea level rise, and potentially stall the Atlantic Current.

Two elderly Danes were killed this week by a glacial wave while visiting the Kangerluarsuk Fjord in western Greenland.

A giant wave resulting from ice that melted and dropped from a glacier swept five Danish tourists into the icy Kangerluarsuk Fjord on Greenland's west coast, killing two of them immediately.

Uummannaq assistant police chief Carl Borup said that the tragedy occurred while a group of 15 tourists stood on a plateau at the glacier to take pictures.

'Witnesses said that there was suddenly a loud sound like a helicopter and a huge wave came pouring in on them,' said Borup.

It's called jokulhlaup, and we can expect to be saying it more in the future.

Increasing temperatures in the Arctic mean that glacial waves like the one that killed those two Danish tourists will become much more common, according to ice experts.

The phenomenon, known as jokulhlaup, occurs when lakes formed by glacial melt water burst through the ice.

Sebastian H Mernild, of the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, studied a similar phenomenon that took place in the Kangerlussuaq area last August. No one was killed, but the event resulted in a large lake (pictured above) being completely drained in 12 hours.

Disappearing lakes are not Greenland's only worry. Disappearing fish have also got them concerned.

The Greenland Institute for Natural Resources believes halibut and capelin quotas should be reduced due to falling populations in Greenlandic waters.

There are currently fewer halibut in the coastal waters between eastern Greenland and Iceland than at any time since 2001, and the average size of the fish has decreased by 10 cm in Disko Bay.

Biologists at the Greenland Institute for Natural Resources are therefore recommending halibut fishing be cut back on the west coast by 1600 tons this year compared to last year’s haul.

Add that to decreasing fishing quotas around the world - all because of disappearing fish stocks - and it's easy to connect the dots.

We are eating ourselves out of house and home.

Earthqauke site
A STRONG earthquake struck off the Solomon Islands today but there were no immediate reports of damage and a tsunami alert was not issued.

The magnitude 6.7 undersea quake was one of four earthquakes in the area in the one day, ranging from Magnitude 5.0 to 6.7.(An 8.0-magnitude earthquake in the western Solomons in April last year triggered a tsunami that killed more than 50 people and displaced thousands).

Earthquake Fiji
A few hours later, a Magnitude 6.4 earthquake occurred in the ocean near Fiji. A Magnitude 5.0 quake happened in the same area just five minutes earlier.

JAPAN'S Meteorological Agency has lifted a tsunami warning for northeastern Japan after a Magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck off the east coast of Honshu.

There were no initial reports of damage. Nuclear power facilities in the area were unharmed and were continuing to operate as usual.

TOP SCIENTISTS DISAGREE WITH IPCC GLOBAL WARMING CLAIMS

Three top scientists have once again contradicted the claim that a “consensus” exists about man-made global warming with research that indicates CO2 emissions actually cool the atmosphere, in addition to another peer-reviewed paper that documents how the IPCC overstated CO2’s effect on temperature by as much as 2000 per cent.

Professor George Chilingar and Leonid Khilyuk of the University of Southern California, and Oleg Sorokhtin of the Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences have released a study that they claim completely contradicts the link between CO2 and global temperature increases.

“The writers investigated the effect of CO2 emission on the temperature of atmosphere. Computations based on the adiabatic theory of greenhouse effect show that increasing CO2 concentration in the atmosphere results in cooling rather than warming of the Earth’s atmosphere,” states the preamble to the paper.

Moon transits earth

NASA's Deep Impact spacecraft has created a video of the moon transiting (passing in front of) Earth as seen from the spacecraft's point of view 31 million miles away.

Scientists are using the video to develop techniques to study alien worlds.

"Making a video of Earth from so far away helps the search for other life-bearing planets in the Universe by giving insights into how a distant, Earth-like alien world would appear to us," said University of Maryland principal investigator astronomer Michael A’Hearn.

Well that's nice - if you still believe all habitable planets must look like Earth and life must start in a swamp somewhere.

The capital of Western Australia is recovering from a thunderstorm that lashed Perth and the southwest with heavy rain, hail and the strongest winds recorded this year, causing blackouts, flooding and damage.

The strong winds blew off roofs, blocked one major bridge with debris, and caused blackouts for thousands of consumers.

(Note: Perth is built on sand and much of it is only a few feet above sea level. It will not do well in earthquakes or rising sea levels).

..............

Associated Press reports that “Hundreds of baby penguins swept from the icy shores of Antarctica and Patagonia are washing up dead on Rio de Janeiro's tropical beaches.”

More than 400 dead penguins, most of them young, have been found over the past two months – more than at any time in recent history.

In California there were 8,000 lightning strikes in one event, and that was months before fire season. There is more of that in store across the West.

From fire to water to drought.

The BBC World News this week ran a story saying the Colorado River that supplies irrigation for huge agricultural areas, and for the city of Las Vegas, is being reduced to a trickle.

Without spelling it out too clearly, the story hinted that Las Vegas could run out of water in the not too distant future.

According to a study published in Science last year, the Southwest region of the United States will enter permanent drought by 2050, and that's being optimistic.

"The seven states dependent upon the Colorado River Basin -- Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona and California -- will most likely war over what remains of its diminishing water resources."

The article says the region's thirsty population will also be beset by rampant firestorms, as portions of the snowpack that remains bypass the liquid stage (which means they won't feed streams and rivers) and evaporate into thin, dry air."

Now Listen Up

At this year’s conference at James’ ranch I was invited to join a round table discussion for his As you Wish radio show.

Dr Miceal Ledwith and other speakers participated, and Dr Ledwith asked me at one point what height would the biggest tsunami wave possibly be?

I responded cautiously, aware that you don’t want to frighten too many people into disbelief. So I said perhaps 200 feet would not be out of the question.

And then along comes this story, written by freelance writer Dave Kiffer in Alaska.

“On July 9, 1958, the largest wave in modern history occurred in Lituya Bay, on the northern Southeast Alaska coast about halfway between Cape Spencer and Yakutat.”

The wave, generated by a landslide that in turn was triggered by a Magnitude 8 earthquake, was over 1700 feet high.

Now think about the planet suddenly shifting as suggested in The Horizon Project - from which I quote: "Episode 01 of The Horizon Project begins with a frightening bang. Newly discovered scientific evidence shows that the world as we know it is about to come to an unexpected end; however, knowing what's coming over the horizon is only the tip of the iceberg; understanding WHY presents a picture far greater than you could have imagined."

If that happens, a 1700 ft tsunami would be just a small breaker.

We may well see tsunamis twice that height in the future.

How far in the future? I don't know.

But why wait until they happen to decide to survive?

Wouldn't that be like waiting till your car is having a crash and deciding it's time to put on the seat belt? (I use that mind-picture advisedly, since a seat belt once saved my life in a crash I instigated by traveling at 90 miles an hour on a slick wet road....the car was a write-off, but I escaped with little more than a shorter neck, caused by trying to go through the roof when we hit a cliff head on after wiping out 100 yards of fence line. That'll definitely bring you from 90 to zero in no time).

How about just putting first things first. Look around. Notice that food prices are rising while supplies can be expected to dwindle. People's jobs are disappearing faster than Batman can save Gotham City (again). The value of money is also dropping like a toilet plunger.

Home Study Preparedness Course
Therefore why not Get Smart - get The Basic Preparedness book or the Home Study Course.

They have everything in them you need to know about...Basic Preparedness.

In other words - don't panic. Prepare instead. And if nothing happens - well, you can eat your food storage, never run out of warm clothes, have enough water set back to breed goldfish forever, and use your hand tools to build your grandchildren a tree house.

Obviously the ultimate would be to have your own underground city where you can take yourself and your family to safety. But that's a pipe dream for most of us (although there's some detail about the N ew Wo rld Or der and who is planning to do that in the new eBook).

Sea Egg Plan
Obviously I can not personally say that these tremendous earth changes are guaranteed to happen.

However, the evidence is certainly pointing in that direction.

ASnd because I know from decades as a journalist that the "Mainstream" is always months if not years behind what's really going on, I can say without a doubt that it's best to rely on your own assessment of all this information - including what you get here.

That’s why some people are building “subterrines” (my new word for a subterranean dwelling – not a sub-marine, but a self-contained sub-terra construction which will keep its occupants safe while water comes and goes).

One such unit is called the “Sea Egg.” It has been designed and built by a professional boatbuilder/designer who once spent four months adrift in an upturned trimaran. He survived that.

His Sea Egg is intended to function as both an emergency shelter AND as a very comfortable long-term home should the future indeed come up with all the major events that are possible.
