How May I Be Of Service?

Editor Michael Knight Earth Change Report

From the desk of editor Michael Knight. April 26 08

I’ll bet it’s a long time since someone looked you in the eye, smiled, and said “How may I be of service?”

But that’s the thought that goes through my mind each time I start a new edition of Earth Change Report.

I ask myself, how can I condense a week of global disaster news into a readable, entertaining, and even palatable form?

How can I engage each reader in a way that is polite, acceptable, respectful and informative as well.

How can I get money out of some of them? (Yes….that’s what supports this endeavor – the sale of some products that help us pay the rent, buy the groceries, run the car and hope for the future).

Frankly, I think that for most newsletters (a misnomer for the majority) the money thing works like an off switch. A turn-off switch, because – at least in my experience – the majority of free ezines that purport to be newsletters are simply not worth the money – even when they’re free.

Earth Change Report is different. Yes, it’s free – but when it comes to the money side of things, the philosophy is really simple. You’ll see the offers, and if they appeal, you’ll cautiously check them out, and if you then feel you want what they offer, you’ll buy.

Very nice.

But whether you buy or not, this newsletter is intended to be of service, that service being one of information about ‘abrupt’ earth changes.

So this newsletter includes quite a few links.

Each of them is here for a reason. That reason being that they will give you information that has real value. And that always improves your strategy planning.

But let's get back to Earth Changes - which are really Life Changers.

These are covered in over-view form (here comes the plug – a very short one) in the documentary I directed called "Contact Has Begun."

It was great to get an email from a customer in Ireland this week who said he’d bought one, and now wanted two more to give to friends, because “it’s brilliant.”

Truth be told, despite all the Irish jokes, the Irish are brilliant.

Well, maybe we should rethink that in my family, since my Irish grandfather scarpered from Ireland when he was 14, lied about his age, joined the British Army, watched men getting flogged or imprisoned for minor infractions – and deserted. That was all circa 1900.

Desertion back then carried the death penalty if you were caught. So he took passage as they say as a stoker on a steamer to South Africa. Once there, he jumped ship so he could start a new life in a new country. But he got arrested and thrown back on the ship within half a day.

Next stop was New Zealand. This time he jumped ship at midnight with an empty coal sack (sleeping bags hadn’t been invented yet) and a loaf of bread and didn’t stop walking for 24 hours.

Was that brilliant or what?

But I digress.

Let’s talk about sheep and dogs.

Sheep and Lamb
Judith and I run a few sheep (Dorper breed at present), as our independent meat supply.

Yeah yeah I know – there are those who think we should all be vegans or breatharians – but I’m Irish (sort of) and I like meat and potatoes.

I also like the idea of having our own food available when the food runs out in the supermarkets – which it will, before long.

Anyway, I had to interrupt this broadcast between my Grandfather and the sheep, to go shoot (at) a couple of dogs that were chasing them round the field.

Mind you, if I lived in Vietnam, I’d probably have the dogs in the pot right now and save the sheep till later. Isn’t that a sickening thought? Well, yes, it might be to you – and it has definitely made quite a few (1500) Vietnamese sick as well.

Instead of shooting the dogs I put a couple of bullets near their rear ends just to see how fast a dog can run. Very fast Mable. Very fast. Straight home next door where I went to visit and got promised it would never happen again.

The neighbor came out of the house clutching a bowl of cereal (apparently I interrupted his breakfast) so we might as well segue now into the food shortage situation.

He’s very unlikely to be able to afford cereal 18 months from now – so how he’s going to feed his three boys is an even harder thought to deal with. (Don't go there Michael...the dogs are his kids' pets....and you knew that, which is why you didn't shoot them...but....).

Commodity Prices 2008
The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) has just released a report which says “ Since 2000—a year of low prices—the wheat price in the international market has more than tripled and maize prices have more than doubled.

“The price of rice jumped to unprecedented levels in March 2008. Dairy products, meat, poultry, palm oil, and cassava have also experienced price hikes.”

It goes on to say “developed countries should eliminate domestic biofuel subsidies and open their markets to biofuel exporters like Brazil. Biofuel subsidies in the United States and ethanol and biodiesel subsidies in Europe have proven to be misguided policies that have distorted world food markets.

Now it wasn’t too many issues ago that Earth Change Report was saying the same thing (can you hear the trumpet?) – and today even the Wall Street Journal is finally catching up with ECR.

I kid you not. The mainstream media (no capitals required) is so far behind what’s really going on in this world, that if you rely on them to tell you how soon you should get out of the way of the oncoming train, you’ll be a red splot on the tracks long before they even mention there’s a train in the distance.

Real world evidence of that is this. Newspapers like the Wall Street Journal (now owned by magnate Rupert Murdoch) do little to zero investigative reporting.

They tell you nothing about who is really pulling the world’s financial strings. Instead, they keep you engaged in Fairyland where everyone has a chance of becoming a millionaire if only they borrow enough money to buy this that or the other stock.

So you do. And you buy a car on credit. A house on credit. Your doctorate on credit. Your furniture…your toaster…your spa…your hot tub…your golf clubs…your Harley…(or in my case, seven consecutive off-road racing bikes)…roses for the girlfriend…a diamond ring….your wife’s wedding ring…and then you upgrade to a platinum card to pay the alimony....

So you see, while it’s easy to blame “them” for pulling the plug, “we” (you and me) have been more than willing to play their game.

However, some of us – and I count you as one of them – have woken up.

Now to bring it down to “what can I (that’s you) do about it,” let me say this.

Do enough research and you’ll discover there’s no doubt at all that the world is in the final stages of a change for the worse...worst…worser.

The band-aid boys will put their spin on it all, but the plane is about to crash and if you don’t start reaching for your flotation devices right now, you won’t float.

Gather as much information as you possibly can on everything from earth changes to food storage. Rely on nobody else to get you out of the hole you’re in. After all, you did the digging.

I know of what I speak. As a kid I once dug a tunnel into a sandhill. I was deep into it when it collapsed and pinned me with just my feet sticking out. As it came down, I ‘knew’ in a flash - ultra violet blue if I recall - that I had to tuck my elbows under my chest, arch my back as high as possible, and preserve as much breathing space as I could.

Fortunately, a friend was nearby and he had the wit to start digging me out rather than run for adult help.

But if he hadn’t been there, I wouldn’t be here. Because I dug the hole.

Let’s then revisit this thought of “how may I be of service?”

I think of men like Ron Paul running for President in the US in a media blackout - yet soldiering on with the hope of returning America to its Constitutional birthright. And people like the Farley family (subscribers no less) who have the courage to run for office themselves.

There's Kristen in South America who edits the only newsletter about earth changes in the Spanish language. (See my newsletter Easter Thoughts, or you can visit her web site.

James Gilliland and Miceal Ledwith also come to mind, and there's a guy on the Earth Change Forum that many subscribers have joined (it's private - members only) who has devoted himself to learning about the Consciousness of Oneness - and others there with similar minds.

I think of Amber and others in New Zealand, Brett in South Africa, Davide and Klaus and Petrus in Europe, Carol and Wayne and Marilyn and Ulla.

Some of us started waking up years ago, yet there are so many who seem to be quite new to all this. So I ask myself, can I move some sand off some of these people who are feeling trapped and afraid as the world comes to pieces, falling around their ears?

Sure I can. But they'll have to do most of the work, because like it or not, they dug the hole.
New ECR Logo
I’m no hero, and I don’t have all the answers, but this is where the New Earth Change Report (the paid subscriber version) comes in. (Plug plug).

Because I’ve been a journo since 1960, done time (as an economics reporter - which is the same as doing time I would think), covered agriculture, suffered through the political rounds, traveled a bit, and also been aware of earth changes and preparedness for a long time…well (trumpet sounds again) who better than a reformed mainstream person to lighten your day with useful information?

That’s the difference between my newsletters and the also-rans. Here, you get links to news you can use – and sites that are useful.

Like this one – the MREdepot - where you can check out a big range of things you should already have, but if you haven’t it looks like a good place to start.

Survival Tip: Make sure you check other sites as well, because price is a big thing these days.

For example, if you see an item you’re interested in, you can look for its manufacturer’s code, which might be something like Generator X, 5hp, Model No 12345.

Copy that info, then paste it into your search engine and see what else comes up. I bought an item recently that varied in price from $30 to $64. Same item. Guess which one I bought?

There – that tip alone probably just saved you the cost of a year’s subscription to New Earth Change Report (Only, Just, Save, Buy, Order, good-till-midnight-only....$24.95 annually, or three easy payments of $8.75).

And for something completely different - but oh so useful because it's from the voice of experience - try this guy's site. ____________________

Okay – let’s move on.

What other ‘good news’ do we have this week?

Cal;ifornia EQ Possibilities Graph
Ah hah…California, home of The deTerminator (former film star and current Governor Arnold Schwarznegger) has had an upgrade.

Downgrade might be a better word since California just laid off 10,000 teachers from a school system that already turns out semi-literate graduates.

According to an AP report, scientists are now saying “California faces an almost certain risk of being rocked by a strong earthquake by 2037.”

Experience and instinct give me the following reaction to that forecast. First, these guys know a lot more than they’re saying publicly. To put a 20-year figure on it, is like saying “this is going to happen in a heartbeat from now.”

Second – press releases like this are as close as they dare get to saying “hey, there’s a train coming. Very Fast. So get off the tracks.”

There is far more known in these government departments like the USGS than is ever made public. And we’re not talking secret government or black ops here either. It’s just a fact that they don’t want to scare people – but they do want to warn them.

I drove to San Diego and back recently, and it seems to me that Californians are living on borrowed time.

Their water resources are dwindling rapidly. Their food production capabilities will follow suit – helped along by both droughts and fires. A tsunami is definitely not out of the question.
DeadTreesLongValley
And then there’s the San Andreas Fault, and the Long Valley Caldera – one of the biggest volcanoes on the planet which is going to smother the globe in ash when it finally erupts once again.

Meanwhile, it's just killing off huge acreages of trees with escaping carbon dioxide (see pic).

And our governments want to wait another 30 years before cutting back CO2 emissions? Insanity rules.

Right, enough of that.

Take a deep breath.

Think about making money on the internet – which you can still do even though the economy is heading for shambles.

I’ll tell you straight, in my experience, working the internet is not a quick and easy thing to do. You have to study and learn. But it can be done. So if the thought floats your boat, check out the "Sitesell" footer link on this page. (Yep, I use them for this web site, and I’m an affiliate – and that’s one way to make money. But I’m not hyping it up. Just go see for yourself. If you like it, that’s what counts).

Now for the home stretch.

Arctic pic earth changes
Since its inception ECR has talked about “abrupt” climate change and the danger of rising sea levels – and possibly even an axial tilt – because polar ice is melting rapidly.

While respecting what scientists are doing, ECR has also made the point that even the best models can not give us accurate forecasts of when events will occur, or how severe they’ll be.

This policy is by way of making it clear to subscribers that it’s best to have your safety belt on before the crash; in other words, prepare now, just in case disaster does strike the day after tomorrow. Or tomorrow.

Now, “a new study warns that climate change is having a greater and faster impact on the Arctic than previously thought.

“The report released today shows that the melting of arctic sea ice and the Greenland Ice Sheet is severely accelerated, prompting concerns that both may be close to their 'tipping point'; the point where, because of climate change, natural systems may experience sudden, rapid and perhaps irreversible change.”

Alright, let’s assume that you and I think we have our heads screwed on the right way.

We don’t need to be told by some ‘expert’ that the world as we knew it is no longer the world as it is.

We’re quite capable of making our own decisions thank you very much.

Canning for earth changes
Which means we are doing everything we must to set aside food for the future. Maybe we’re even getting out of what’s left of our “ghost assets” (call them stocks and bonds if you like).

And if you want to check out a really pricey newsletter for another hard hitting reality check, check this: “If your banker managed to convince you to invest in the $US10,000-billion worth of ghost-assets currently haunting the financial planet, then you have most probably lost everything even if you do not know it yet.”

You've heard the old saying, "follow the money." right?

You might be surprised where that leads (maybe), like to a snake pit of very smart but ruthless people who planned your demise - -or enslavement by consent - quite a while ago. (Let's check out Zeitgeist" on Youtube for more on that little number).

For those on dial-up, which takes forever to show video clips, I'd suggest you actually buy the DVD. We all should. But what this clip basically says is that there's a plan to give us all radio frequency identifier chips, implanted, to track our every move, every purchase, every interaction, everywhere.

Still think we're not slaves by consent? Did you take a credit card? Are you in debt? Are you paying for the privilege of living a life on the planet on which you were born?

Anyway, now that the economy is being manipulated into the next Very Great Depression, some are investing in precious metals (gold and silver) – or commodities.

Mind you, some of us (usually the ones without the wherewithal to actually buy gold) think even gold and silver are of little or no value, for two reasons. In the US in particular, it’s quite possible that we’ll be told to surrender all our gold coins (it’s been done before) – and aside from that, you can’t eat the stuff.

So – what’s more valuable than gold?

A Garden more valuable than gold
Farm land – or a place in the country (high, and away from the coast) where you can grow your own. (Your own what? Well, there are those who maintain that hemp was only outlawed because it made better rope and garments than the synthetics that have replaced it….). So, think…tobacco? Spuds. Peas, Beans.

Or if you live in an apartment and the only dirt you’ve got is a flower pot – what about lettuce, cabbage, broccoli?

Given that the world economy – thanks to those who control it from behind the scenes (and we’ll get into that, with a solid research foundation in New ECR) is about to go tits up, that food prices are about to go way up, that gas prices are going ballistic, and a lot of people you know are about to become red splots…what to do?

James Gilliland (centerfold or is it centerpiece of "Contact Has Begun") has also written several books about preparing both spiritually and physically.

He foresees a future in which we reunite with our space kin – after the earth changes are over. If that’s right, then 2013 is a year to look forward to.

Dr Miceal Ledwith (I’ve known him for 20 years) is also optimistic about the future.

But for those who make the transition to elsewhere, without making it to 2013, well, Miceal’s latest DVD – “Orbs: Clues to a More Exciting Universe” – is well worth buying and studying.

The truth is, whatever your spiritual persuasion or path might be, we are all souls/spirits on a journey.

James had a Near Death Experience (and I don’t mean Life in America) while body surfing at The Wedge in California. He came back a changed man with a mission – including visions of the future.

So if I may be of service, I can say quite sincerely that the future is not simply about catastrophes and disasters.

True, they’re part of the mix. True, the earth is changing.

And it’s also true that those of us who change as well, have a 100 per cent chance of weathering it all.

Michael Knight.

Editor – Earth Change Report.

PS - My grandfather later volunteered to serve in the First World War. Why? Because deserters would be granted a pardon if they opted back into the service. So he figured that being shot at was better than being shot. Is that brilliant? Or Irish:-)
