Bird Flu - Storms - And Good News

There have been several striking examples of earth changes around our planet this week.

We’ll detail those further down.

That’s because I have had a surprise call from James Gilliland – main man in the documentary “Contact Has Begun.”

He has asked me to be a guest on his bbs As You Wish radio show Saturday night (that’s January 12 08 at 8pm Pacific).

It’s an internet radio show, so it has listeners around the world. (No bull – his show really is the Number One rated talk show of its kind on the Internet).

Now back to Earth Changes – because it was James’ mention of these that prompted me to really wake up to this subject and start this newsletter.

It’s all part of accelerating earth changes. (Put that another way, the oceans are dying – and we are killing our planet. Did I say that clearly enough?).

"Almost 400,000 gilt head bream died in a single night on fish farms located in the southwestern province of Muğla's Güllük Gulf this week.

"Gilt head bream started dying Tuesday night on 15 different fish farms The possibility that fish died due to lack of oxygen is being examined."

Climate changes that are already happening are driving some species to extinction.

They are also encouraging the migration not only of animals to different parts of the world but (unfortunately) some of the diseases they carry.

For example, dengue fever which is transmitted by mosquitoes is now making its way north.

And lest we forget, "Fifty-one people died in Michigan in 2002 from the West Nile Virus and other mosquito borne diseases."

(Have you ever wondered why we do not hear any uproar about mosquitoes carrying AIDS as well?).

And then there are sudden illnesses here and there which there seems to be no immediate explanation for.

Like this report…."Up to 80 passengers aboard an international Air Canada flight were under observation Tuesday night in Toronto, after eight people showed flu-like symptoms.

"Air Canada flight 085 arrived at the city's Pearson International Airport from Tel Aviv, carrying 201 passengers.

"Eight people became ill during the flight.They were taken to hospital, although an official with the Greater Toronto Airport Authority refrained from saying they had been 'quarantined.'"

(Are planes just big virus fermentation vats?)

And this:-

"A mysterious fever has killed at least 14 people and infected two dozen others in western Uganda over the past three weeks. Authorities have deployed medics to Uganda's Bundibugyo district, on the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo, where the strain was first reported."

"A 12-year-old boy was hospitalized in Indonesia for developing bird flu symptoms and earlier contacts with a dead chicken, local press said Wednesday.

"If confirmed, he could be the 108th bird flu case in the country, where 94 people have died of the virus to make Indonesia’s the world's highest death toll among any of the affected countries." ............

"Three wild swans found dead in Dorset England have tested positive for the H5N1 strain of bird flu.

"A control area has been set up, within which bird owners must isolate their flocks from wild birds."

(Maybe best to isolate them in the freezer before officials come and slaughter them??)

..........

Animal farm:

"A state of emergency was imposed this week on the village of Pivovarikha, Irkutsk Region, over a flare-up of respiratory-viral disease of unknown etiology. A total of 240 cows fell ill. No deaths reported as a direct result, but curiously 91 cattle were axed and the farm is being disinfected."

"A Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) outbreak among pigs has occurred in Vietnam's southern Bac Lieu province.

"Fourteen infected pigs have been culled in the hope of preventing the disease from spreading. PRRS was first recognized in the United States in the mid-1980s and is now present in most pig producing countries. The symptoms include reproductive failure, pneumonia and increased susceptibility to secondary bacterial infection."

(No mention of this one maybe migrating to humans as well – pigs being very close to human in some respects )…….

Care to know what a Flu virus looks like?

Like its various cousins, it looks like a primed mine ready to explode. This pic (courtesy swinecast.com - article here) tells us that "The viruses are about 120 nanometers -- about one ten thousandth of a millimeter -- in diameter.

(Never heard of a bullet that small being so effective…but I myself would never touch a flu vaccine. Some say vaccines can be worse than the disease itself. It also seems logical to ask how ‘they’ can develop a vaccine for a virus that is constantly mutating?)

Moving on - Bad weather – Good News

(Do this in a train or a bus and they’d call it a crash):

Eighty seven passengers and crew have survived an emergency landing by an Air Canada plane today (Jan 10 2008). Extreme turbulence forced it to land at Calgary while flying from Victoria to Toronto. The good news is only 10 passengers were injured ….so having survived something similar on a landing at New Zealand’s Wellington airport, do I hear “controlled crash” anyone?.…

Tens of thousands remain without power in the state of New York today after a fast-moving wind storm interrupted power to more than 100,000 customers on Wednesday.

Across the border in Ontario winter storms have blacked out 140,000 households and flooding has dumped 2000 gallons of sewage out of a storm drain system into the streets of Huntsville.

(Makes you wonder at the non-common sense requirement in places like western Washington that some homes should have engineered septic systems. They require electricity to pump sewage to a drain field ‘above’ ground level!!!!).

But it gets worse in this world of unprecedented weather anomalies.

Can you imagine seven feet of snow in a matter of two days?

In Pakistan there's been nothing like it in living memory.

Heavy snow and torrential rain have caused severe damage in the mountainous Hazara and Malakand regions.

A woman and her daughter died Tuesday night when their house collapsed.. A three-storey building also collapsed. No loss of life, no reported injuries.

The snowfall triggered avalanches and landslides stranding hundreds of travelers on blocked highways.

Acute food shortage has been reported because of closure of main and link roads while the entire area has been without electricity for five days. …..

Which means the tsunami he has seen hitting the West Coast USA is likely to be correct as well).…
