We Wish You A Merry Christmas.....Earth Change Report - Issue 022 - Dec 22 2007
James Gilliland (the genuinely humble "star" of Contact Has Begun) and I wish you all the best this Christmas season. There are many ways that people celebrate this event (or not), The Christian version is that this is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Jesus was indeed a great teacher - and it would be fair to say he was responsible for some rather amazing "earth changes." Dig a little deeper into the history of this festival, and you find that it has its origins in pre-Christian times - times when those who understood Nature at a very deep level would rejoice at the birth of the sun - the winter solstice. As with Easter (named for the ancient goddess Ishtar) the so-called 'pagan' December festival was gradually incorporated into Christianity, which has never had an accurate date for Jesus' birth, death and resurrection. In the winter months following the solstice, Nature was understood to be in a state of dreaming if you will - riding out the blizzards and the cold in a cocoon of silence while preparing for its rebirth or resurrection in spring. In the Southern Hemisphere, the seasons are reversed. People there celebrate by going to the beach and drinking cold beer. ("Good on yer mate. Didja see that Trevor Bloody Wilson's Christmas song on Youtube? Bloody galah....disgusting little git...Dilligaf wonker....").[Stop Press. Instant Feedback: "Get it right mate. Its KEVIN Bloody Wilson."]...well...dilligaf.... And so much for foreign languages and strange cultures. James (of ECETI, or Enlightened Contact With Extraterrestrial Intelligence) and I have been honored - and honestly, quite humbled - by the feedback from those of you who have bought the DVD. We sincerely thank you - and we have asked Santa to leave a little extra love in your place this Christmas; plus a big dose of courage as you look beyond the winter of these earth changes to the beautiful seasons that lie ahead.
Now since we all know that Santa lives at the North Pole (right), it's obvious that he too is going to be affected by earth changes, right? As the polar seas lose their ice cover, he is going to have to make other arrangements when it comes to taking off on his supersonic trip round the world on Christmas night. The three-mile long ice runway the elves have had to create in past years will soon be gone. Santa is therefore teaching Rudolph et al to run on water, and has fitted pontoons to his sleigh (and life vests to his elves).
It is also rumored (quite widely but also wildly) that Santa and his crew are considering relocating to the Antarctic (right). Even though it too is melting, Santa has been heard to mutter that that doesn't matter because it's now possible to work outside in T-shirts like those crazy nongs from New Zealand at Scott Base. But here's a question: Do these two polar regions look like airbrush work to you? If so, what is hidden from view? (Send your answers via the Letters to Editor form below).
Alternative Axial Tilt theoryNow here's something Santa won't tell you...."The melting of the polar regions has thrown off the balance of the earth." So says an anonymous posting at this link. "It has been a slow change over the past 20 years, but two of the most significant axial shifts occurred between Dec 4 and 6, 2006." Really? And I never felt a thing? Since this article is posted on an anonymous web site, with no sources referenced for the information it contains, it is tempting to dismiss or belittle the full article as the wild imaginings of a science fiction writer. (Did I hear someone say 'the pot calling the kettle black'?) The author claims for example that the earth has already moved 2000 miles south, and that is what accounts for the major changes we have seen in the climate and seasons over recent years. What would a 2000-mile axial shift look like? Well, thanks to Google Earth we can see for ourselves.
There’s nothing scientific about this – although without science we would never have the ability to reach out with a mouse and move the earth 2000 miles as we’ve done with these two screen shots. The first image has the north pole roughly where it should be – with a little white ruler line running approximately 2000 miles downhill (south).
The second image has the earth moved on its axis by that 2000 miles distance. It’s an interesting comparison indeed. And the article says this has already happened. Maybe so. However, maybe the seasons have changed everywhere because the global jet stream has shifted north? In either case - the results are obvious, and the same. Although the article is disturbing in some respects, it does present much thought-provoking information. This includes suggestions for ensuring your personal welfare – suggestions that could be sensibly adopted in advance of such circumstances as the abrupt earth changes which Earth Change Report is focused on. During the Cold War, we were living under the shadow of a possible nuclear war and our governments made many recommendations as to how to survive such a holocaust.
Those same contingency plans are just as relevant today as we move toward the coming solar maximum, rising sea levels, increasing storms, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. They might be even more relevant and sensible if you take note of the current political rhetoric over nuclear proliferation – and possibly the use of nuclear weapons – by one country or another. Earth Change Report is neither adamant nor dogmatic about the prospect of abrupt changes. Being "right" is not the issue. However, it intentionally chooses the "abrupt" point of focus because if we prepare for “the day after tomorrow” – now – we are prepared for whatever Nature (or politics) might throw at us in the days, months and years ahead. Update Dec 24 - From Letters To Editor submissions: "Just wanted to let you know that web-site about the earth tilting is total B.S. "If the earth had tilted as this site says, then most of Canada would have 24hours of darkness at this time of year (your mid-winter. "The sun still comes up in the same place (and similarly sets in the same place)for the time of year that it always has. These bearings (geographical direction) of the rising and setting of the sun for your latitude can be found in any Nautical almanac. "Check them out if you want proof of what I have said. This person doesn't know what they are talking about!! "Best wishes" - Alan ...... “I'm an ex-navigator, and although not an astronomer I am very familiar with the sky. I can navigate all over the world without satellites - just my sextant (that I still have!) a chronometer, and a set of tables. (Or a calculator). While I AM one of the 'converted' - change is upon us, the Mayan calendar, the Dimensional Shift, spirituality, etc etc etc, - I also know where I see the sun rising and setting. It amazes me that such a global constant 'misses' people .... guess that's city living for you! May as well say that the Sun revolves around the earth, and get right back to burning Galileo!!!! "The Sun is rising and setting in the same places as it always has. It has just reached the tropic of Capricorn, and today will (apparently) start heading north again to cross the equator on 21 March back into the Northern hemisphere. (My friend says it won't - the Earth's tilt of 23 1/2 degrees makes it appear to move!) "If the Earth had tilted (as much as some say) then by now it would almost be rising and setting over the Poles!! I suspect there may be a navigator or two, and a few airline pilots, and even a few astronomers who might notice this!!!! “Otherwise, I can only think that this is clever MIS-information to mislead the sheeple so that when it is discredited, it will take everything else with it, like the Mayan calendar, the Shift, and so on, and the sheeple will bleat on into the abattoir in total ignorance and confusion. “…- it is not impossible. But it sure as hell ain't happening now! (My friend recently saw one from someone who claims it is the crust that is slipping ....) That would be one way for the earth to "tilt", but the energy involved would be ENORMOUS ...... imagine the friction between the crust and the mantle on a planet-wide basis. Absolutely huge. (Not to mention the vectors of the thrust!!!) So ..... to impose or to release this kind of energy in sufficient quantities to move the crust over the mantle would create anything in terms of major MAJOR upheavals up to and including the planet flying apart into a nice new asteroid belt...... “Them’s my sentiments" – Bernie, Australia (abridged). Ed. Note: I'm still inclined to think that with the polar ice caps melting so rapidly, the earth is getting out of balance big time, and some sort of movement should be expected. Maybe it'll even happen abruptly - but hopefully not to the "asteroid belt" scenario! (MK).

"Tides can trigger quakes. An acre-foot of cold seawater weighs approx. 1 Million Tons. This December, around the time of the full moon, the tides going through the S.F. Golden Gate will be close to the highest ever measured." David - San Francisco. (The following is a clip and paste from Jim Berkland's site: Friday, 14 December 2007 PREDICTIONS FOR DECEMBER "The December 21-28, 2007 Seismic Window will see the highest tides of the year and some of the highest possible (9.0-9.1 ft. at the Golden Gate on Dec. 23rd.) "The coast of Maine will experience tides of 13.0 ft. on Christmas Eve. These are a result of the Dec. 21st winter solstice, the close perigee of 224,256 mi. on Dec. 22nd, and the Full Moon of Dec. 23rd. "In addition the Earth is approaching its closest annual approach to the Sun on January 3, 2008. As stated in my September SYZYGY, look out for the Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas Seismic Windows. The first two holidays have already produced in a big way. "I give an 85% probability for these predictions for one or more quakes meeting the following criteria: (1) 3.5-6.5M within 140 miles (2 degrees) of Mt. Diablo (37.9N; 121.9W) (2) 3.5-7.0M within 140 miles centered near Los Angeles 34.0N; 118.0W (3) 3.5-6.0M with an epicentral address of Washington or Oregon in the Northwest. (4) 7.0+M major quake globally, probably within the Pacific Ring of Fire.)." ...... ..... The following follows a reference I made to Mad Cow Disease (BSE) in recent midweek headlines. I said it was caused by grinding up dead chickens to add protein to animal feeds. That is the official reason which until now I had not seriously doubted - although I did wonder why such outbreaks always required the wholesale slaughter of thousands of healthy animals 'just in case.' BSE is one of a cluster of so-called Transmissable Spongiform Encephalopathies (TSE)- or brain diseases. "Hi please go to markpurdey.com faqs and theory. "We are cattle ranchers from Alberta and believe the public is misinformed. Mark made a valiant effort before he died touring and lecturing. Please read the info on his site. Thank you ... Zoologist Mark Purdey writes that..."...exposure to both naturally occurring and man made radioactive metals seems to explain the emergence of every cluster of TSE that has reared its ugly head around the world..." (And his extensive research makes one wonder just how much humans are unknowingly affected by the fallout consequences of atomic tests - and accidents - that have polluted our planet).
Speaking of Earthquakes....
About forty years ago this month I moved to the coastal New Zealand city of Gisborne to start my first radio news job after seven years in newspapers. This week, that city got hit by a Magnitude 6.8 earthquake. Glad I wasn’t there. The earthquake was centered about 25 miles out to sea, and it was powerful enough to send tremors way down to the South Island several hundred miles distant. In Gisborne itself, an elderly woman died of a heart attack while others were literally running for the hills in case a tsunami should come ashore. They have in the past, but this time, none did.
The thing about this week’s ‘quake in Gisborne (pictures courtesy Gisborne Herlad)is that it exemplifies how abruptly disaster can strike. Thankfully, we are not talking hundreds or thousands of deaths in this earthquake, or starving and forgotten victims for years afterward either. But it’s yet another opportunity to check whether we are prepared to handle and get through such a sudden event ourselves. Bear in mind that gas and sewer and water lines all ruptured in that earthquake. Electricity failed (people had to be manually released from a stuck elevator, while others at a ‘secure’ campground were trapped behind electric gates that suddenly would not operate). . Roads were quickly jammed with cars trying to get out of the central business area after the quake.

"I am a student from Ramtha's School Of Enlightenment (that's how we know about this website) and I have been given a lot of information on earth changes. "I want to say they aren't coming - they are here. "I live in NZ and Gisborne was our first wake up call. "I was woken at 1pm the following night by a big jolt and I am in the South Island. "I am going to move to Australia,and although they surely have their own problems,at least they are on one plate. NZ is very volatile and our scientists can tell you where it will split into 3. Right down the top of the North Island. All the info is out there if anyone just wants to look. "I went into a lot of fear when I really started looking into what was happening to the planet. I now understand the worst thing I can do is be in that emotion. The best thing I can do is prepare ahead of time to the best of my ability. "I also believe I create my own reality, and whilst I am certainly no master over nature I can master my own emotional reactions. Keep shining your knowledge and wisdom with us all." Jenny – NZ.
