Mother Nature - A Tiger By The Tail
Earth Change Report - Issue 017 - Nov 09 2007
From the desk of Editor Michael Knight. This just in on my email – sources unknown. In a zoo in California, a mother tiger gave premature birth to triplets which died shortly thereafter. Although she quickly recovered physically from the delivery the tigress suddenly fell into a deep depression.
The doctors decided if the tigress could surrogate another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve. But they could find no cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The only orphans' that could be found quickly, were a litter of weanling pigs.
The zoo keepers and vets wrapped them in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger.
Would they become cubs or pork chops?
Now, please tell me one more time..........
why can't the rest of the world get along?
There’s something about that picture of piglets on a tiger that leads one to thinking of humans on a planet – Planet Earth.
Just like those young pigs, humans are all over their mother. And just like them humans are unaware that their mother is a tiger.
Unfortunately, we are riding a tiger which no longer sees us as children to be loved and nurtured, but rather as blood sucking mosquitos, lice and leeches.
Mother tiger has had enough of this infestation. She is itching, twitching and starting to slap us around because she needs to clean herself up.
While writing the script for the DVD Contact Has Begun I became aware that there are over 50 dead zones in the world’s oceans. They’re dead because we dispose of millions of gallons of effluent - sewage - every minute into the waters from which we harvest our seafood. We are eating out of a toilet bowl. We are killing the sea and its creatures by poisoning and suffocating them in their liquid atmosphere. Meanwhile, our atmosphere is so toxic with aviation gas and carbon emissions that the planet itself – let alone us – is having trouble breathing. (There's a lot more detail in the DVD).

Fortunately – but it’s a good fortune some years in the future – James Gilliland has had contact with Extraterrestrials who might – just might – be able to help us clean things up. (Learn more – see a free preview ) But if they do, it will probably be after we have gone through the consequences of our mindless destruction of our own environment. It is a destruction that is finally being met with Nature’s full fury. And Nature’s full fury is something even a mother tiger cannot match.
For just one example of how collectively ignorant we are, Tanzania is ready to sign a contract with an Indian company that wants to turn Lake Natron - breeding ground for most of the world's Lesser Flamingo population - into a resource for the production of washing powder. (Photo courtesy www.jjwarwick.co.uk ). "Catastrophic losses of two threatened species and damage to the vital tourist industry of Tanzania and Kenya seem a high price to pay for production of washing soda."
'Don't worry about the world coming to an end today.
It's already tomorrow in Australia '(Charles Schultz)
Okay Charles. Are you saying we have nothing to worry about in terms of climate change?
That’s good. I like your thinking. Do you mean we do not need to worry, because plans are afoot to mitigate natural disasters?
I mean plans by governments and think tanks and the United Nations and the European Union. They’re setting up committees and plans to stop disasters happening. WOW!
Frankly Charles, I believe it's time to spell out the difference between reality and fantasy.
Any long-time journo knows that government is all about keeping the masses in fantasyland.
The fantasy is that corporations, presidents and prime ministers, governments, negotiators, and organizations like the UN can make plans and agreements that will see all of us safely through these times.
The reality is this: If you have seen the devastation in Mexico’s Tabasco region – 800,000 people perched on rooftops or wading through drowned villages because of sudden torrential rain – you have seen the future for millions more.
“Three quarters of sweet water of the whole country cross over Tabasco state, Tabasco provides natural gas and petroleum for Mexico, Tabasco produces meat, banana, cocoa, pineapple and a lot of crops that are lost at this time...Many families lost their whole patrimony from one day to the other, today those families doesn’t have anything but the clothes they are wearing.”
The European Union, the United Nations, world scientific organizations – they all know what’s coming and they all agree that “Projections show that the least developed ..countries, along with small island developing states, will be the hardest hit by climate change.
"If their populations must leave their livelihoods behind due to sea level rises or a lack of drinking water … millions will be forced to migrate to other regions of the world, including Europe."
So says a report about a planned partnership between the European Union (EU) and developing countries which “will help millions of the world's poorest to tackle the effects of climate change.”
The report suggests that millions from Africa are going to migrate to Europe.
It’s all a fantasy.
As you may have seen in the documentary “Contact Has Begun” – with supporting scientific evidence in previous issues of Earth Change Report - when the Atlantic Current stalls and the European climate suddenly turns to year-long ice and snow – there will be no Europe as we know it for anyone to migrate to.So Earth Change Report, with its focus on abrupt rather than gradual climate change, is more about reality than fantasy.
The reality is that in Nature, the Lesser Flamingo flies to inland lakes enlarged by the rainy season to breed three times in succession. But the third hatching occurs as those lakes are evaporating and the young flamingos – not yet able to fly – must struggle from their birth place to walk to feeding grounds far away.(Photo courtesy www.jjwarwick.co.uk). Many of them die of thirst and malnutrition on the journey. How then can "millions" of humans walk from Africa to Europe when millions of them are already being ignored and left to die? That's the reality at the human level. And at the level of Nature - Mother Tiger is changing its mind and behavior faster than a politician can break a promise. As but one example, before he got elected US President George Bush promised to reduce CO2 emissions. Two weeks after taking office he reversed himself and went back on his word. It was a windfall for his corporate friends but a deadfall for the planet. Now, under the guise of reducing carbon emissions.... Carbon emissions trading will probably double to at least $60 billion this year...as investors and polluters seek to profit..." No surprise there. And then we have our individual and very personal reality – what does abrupt climate change mean for us, personally? And what are we going to do about it? As individuals, we do not have to solve the world’s problems. We only have to deal with our own. We do not have to wait for a government or a committee to tell us what they’ll do for us sometime in the future. We only have to choose what we will do for ourselves, right now. Ponder that alongside the riddle of whether the world will end in Australia first - or last. __________________________________
Aussie sits on a unique tectonic plate. This Google Earth image (right) gives some idea of how it runs down the eastern seaboard from Queensland in the north to the island of Tasmania in the south."Hi Michael, "I dunno how well you know Australia - particularly the eastern states / seaboard. "For years now, I have known people who have 'seen' tsunamis sweeping across from the east coast right up to the Great Dividing Range - or been up on the Range, and looked towards the east and 'seen' water as far as the eye could see. "Just this evening a friend told me of a friend of theirs who has dreamed (three consecutive nights) of a tsunami sweeping ashore just north of Brisbane, and going, and going, and going .... right up until it reached the Ranges. "Sydney airport? Forget it.
"Also Brisbane airport. Neither of them would survive even a few metres rise in sea level, never mind a tsunami! "Last night I woke at some ungodly hour after 'hearing' a radio report of a 6.2 quake in North Queensland. I almost got up to check it on my computer, it was that real. When? No idea. "No, Australia will not be unscathed. "If there is a serious (vertical movement) quake anywhere from near New Guinea through to New Zealand, there will be disaster all down the east coast, from Thursday Island all the way to Hobart. "But we will all be exactly where, and when, we are meant to be. "Cold comfort, when one has friends and relatives in the area. "Watch the animals, and stay tuned ... "Be Well," - Bernie. ________________________________ HELP WANTED: Do you have anyone on your mind that you care about and would like to alert to these issues?
