Bay Area UFO Expo And More - Earth Change Report Sept 1 2007

While he may not be quite as well known as Coast to Coast AM host George Noory, James Gilliland attracted constant attention during the two-day event.

And the DVD “Contact Has Begun – with James Gilliland” sold like hot cakes.

Real UFO video is a feature in this documentary, most of it shot by James at his Trout Lake sanctuary near Mt Adams in Washington.

Therefore, a UFO expo where James was a featured guest speaker was a logical place for him to promote and sell Contact Has Begun.

Nor did it do any harm that George Noory was there as well and made a commitment to visit James’ sanctuary.

James has his own weekly internet radio show, so he may well turn the tables. Instead of being a guest with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM, he might engage George Noory as a guest on his own “As you Wish” weekly internet radio spot.

But back to the Expo.

Picture a typical huge hotel – in this case The Double Tree – where hundreds of guests from throughout the United States, and even from overseas can gather to get the latest information from their favorite featured speakers.

Provide a very big room in which over 100 vendors can set up their booths, then watch as literally thousands of visitors drop in. They there to sample such things as a Riffe machine demonstration (in this case by James’ brother Jay), or to buy crystals from metaphysical practitioners Dolphyn and Astoria of www.Empower-U.org.

Their crystals are mined in Arkansas and are said to be “the purest quartz crystal known to mankind.”

One of the best and most fascinating speakers was Dr Brooks Agnew.And it was a real pleasure to take the opportunity to thank him again for his contribution to Contact Has Begun. He was a speaker at James Gilliland’s sanctuary where the 2006 conference was filmed as part of the DVD, and his presentation is always an eye-opener.


Dr Agnew is planning an expedition to Inner Earth in 2008 – and as a scientist, physicist and life-long explorer, he has taken on a challenge that is something of a family tradition. His great-great-Grandfather Sir James Ross discovered the North Pole in 1881.

At this year’s Expo James showed Contact Has Begun to a large audience – and considering that his time slot was from 5.30 Sunday evening, it was remarkable that scores of people – almost 200 - actually attended.

James then did a Q&A session in which he was asked about earth changes.

One question was, since he had accurately foreseen the date and magnitude of the Loma Prieta earthquake of 1989, was he prepared to say when the tsunamis he has foreseen will actually strike the US West Coast?

The answer was rather revealing in terms of human nature. Not James’ nature, but the nature of people in general when they are presented with a disturbing message.

“I have sort of gone out of the prophecy business,” said James, “because when I started talking about the coming earthquake, they basically ran me out of town.

“They said ‘you’re creating fear’ and ‘you’re creating this by talking about it,’ and then when the earthquake happened, they blamed me for it!

“But we are in for many earth changes and we should prepare spiritually mentally and physically, let go of our old traumas and grudges and ask for inner guidance.”

On the one hand an event such as the Bay Area UFO Expo is an educational experience, but on the other, it also leaves one with as many questions as it might answer.

Chief among these is a strange sense of wonder that when exposed to an uncomfortable message, most people seem to go straight into shock and denial.

Not one person asked a question about global warming, climate change, the slowing Atlantic current or the fact that a serious Coronal Mass Ejection is extremely likely just a couple of years from now. Why is that?

Perhaps it is because we give so little thought to anything beyond our immediate needs such as money, work, relationships and the comforts of life. To be told that our world is going to experience truly shocking events like earthquakes and tsunamis is apparently beyond our ability to comprehend.

It does take some effort to wrap your head around a planet that is moving around like puzzle pieces grinding against each other.

After all, we are brought up in a dream world of artificial expectations such as finding the perfect partner, the perfect job, the perfect home and the perfect RV to travel around in when we retire.

Judging by the endless stream of RVs on the 1600-mile drive to and from San Jose, many have achieved that dream. Considering the inventory of literally dozens of shiny new bus sized RVs on sale at some of the RV yards that dot the freeway many more are also expected to buy such mobile retirement homes in the future too.

There is also no doubt that e the majority of people who have watched Contact Has Begun have found it to be a wonderful production with information on many levels.

But others have been shocked into silence by its assertions that the North Atlantic Current is due to stall and change Europe into a Siberian ice age environment, and that the next solar maximum is likely to bombard Earth with a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) that will destroy satellites, disrupt all communications, and wreck everything on the planet that generates or depends on electricity.

Clean Up Your Act – Earthling

Little wonder that there are those who are wishing and hoping that all our problems will be solved by the intervention of benevolent ETs.

Granted, that would be a pleasant change from the long-running covered-up saga in which innumerable people have been abducted by not-so-benevolent ones.

But what if the benevolent highly advanced off-worlders have watched us for a long time?

In that time they have done a great deal to minimize the impact of such things as CMEs.

They have also quietly gone about the business of doing what they can to clean up our atmosphere.

They have patiently waited for us to start doing these things for ourselves.

And we haven’t.

So it appears they have decided that solving our problems and minimizing the impact of earth changes is something they will no longer do.

And what if they understand that this world on which we live has a mind of its own, a consciousness if you will, which is the consciousness of an ever-evolving planet which every life form relies on for its very existence.

What if we, who are responsible for creating the wreckage in our environment, the extinction of species, the multiple dead zones in our septic oceans, the weeping sores in our atmosphere and the rivers of blood in our endless wars, must now take responsibility for the consequences?

What if there is no longer any outside help coming our way until after we have reaped what we have sown?

Perhaps, instead of indulging in the blame game and pseudo-shock at learning that there are conspirators controlling us and malevolent ETs abducting us, we should start looking inward – as James Gilliland said so eloquently during his presentation – and seriously ponder what we can do to ensure our personal future.

The Bay Area UFO Expo covered the gamut of past and present conspiracies, and if that is where your interest lies there is a lot to learn and worry about.

On the other hand we can say to ourselves “this Contact Has Begun DVD is telling us the truth. What they say in the documentary is a very likely future. After all, scientists are now saying that abrupt climate change is a real near-term possibility. So maybe it’s time to forget the messenger and listen to the message.”

The message can be summed up in very few words. Those words were the theme of James Gilliland’s conference at ECETI, and they are the closing statement on the DVD: “Contact Has Begun. The Rest Is Up To You.”…

Q: I would like to know if you could tell me if me and my family is safe in Vernon, British Columbia Canada. Thank you and or what we should do to be safe.

A: Being a mere mortal I am not capable of seeing how safe anyone will be anywhere.

Nevertheless, if we are aware of the earth changes that are happening, there are common precautions we can take.

For example, in doing a Google Earth search and looking at Vernon, BC Canada, I see it is about 1300ft above sea level, and quite far inland.

These are two good things.

On the other hand, Vernon looks like a thriving urban community/city.

I personally opted many years ago to find a less populated place to live.

Not that we are totally isolated, but we are certainly out of the city - and even a couple of miles from the nearest small town.

One can find the common sense in this choice just by reading about what happens when something like Hurricane Dean occurs. As I write, it is cutting a swathe through the Caribbean, leaving behind a lot of desperate people, some of whom are already looting and stealing what they think they need to survive.

Regrettably, it is often not the disaster event that causes the greatest danger - it is unpredictable people who find themselves in a desperate situation.

There is much to consider, and some apparently hard choices to make depending on one's circumstances.

This is not intended as advice and I am certainly no-one's counselor, but if I lived in Vernon, I would move some distance from town, find a property where I could be self-sufficient (preferably one with a good well and at least a 1000 gallon storage tank) and tell few people (if any) about my awareness of coming earth changes.

I have ridden part of the Pacific Crest Trail recently - and also once hiked the length of Ross Lake which borders Washington and BC.

There is no shortage of game out there, so I would be prepared to use that resource if necessary. (Mind you, when you come across a cougar just on dusk, you have to ask yourself who is the resource round here?:-)

And I would start to build up a store of basic food items. Enough for a lengthy closure of Safeway and WalMart:-)

I would also consider the surrounding terrain and what it might do in a bad earthquake - and what sort of shelter I might need, and for how long.

If this all sounds like a tall order...it isn't really. Each little can of beans added to the pantry adds to our future security.

Once we have a plan, a road map, or a trail we want to travel, every small step we take is a step in the right direction................

Hello Michael, I was just looking at the websites that are at the end of the movie, and the website of Miceal Ledwith contains a link to JZ Knight, and that he is a long time member of her organization.

Then I did some research/reading (like: www.wweek.com/story.php?story=5860), I found out that there are people that are calling her organization a sect, and I am more or less convinced that it's indeed the case.

As Miceal Ledwith is appearing in your film, I wonder what your opinion of him (and JZ Knight) is. I don't have any doubts of the truthfulness of James Gilliland however.Regards, Dennis. – Netherlands.

MK Responds: On my web site you will see that I too once had my doubts. I was an investigative journalist and paid my own way to the United States to go to some Ramtha/JZ Knight events.

At the time I thought I could make money by selling stories exposing them as frauds. But by attending personally, I realized that although I did not understand the channeling process at the time, there was absolutely nothing fraudulent going on.

Consequently I have been a student of the Ramtha School of Enlightenment since 1988.

The story you researched was written by a journalist with a completely negative bias.

There is no substitute for personal experience and an open mind. You will also note in the documentary that James Gilliland talks about attending two events with Ramtha himself. James says Ramtha is a “loving being” and a “great teacher” and “that’s how all this came about.”

The Other Side Of Abrupt The Union of Concerned Scientists has a web site that equivocates about abrupt climate change. It says a report for the Pentagon (referred to here and in the DVD) was about a "worst case scenario" and that the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" (referred to in a previous ECR newsletter)over-dramatized and fictionalized the issue. But then there is this double-speak: "While abrupt climate change is not a certainty, human-caused climate change makes abrupt events more likely."> Go figure.
