In An Economic Crisis Dirt Is Better Than Gold

Before we get to the dirt on gold, a reminder that Earth Change Report is about abrupt climate change.

Abrupt means something that will impact your life suddenly and unexpectedly.

To illustrate that, let's go to Spain during this week's major storms that swept the region - and be glad that we weren't really there in these few moments.

From the Desk of Publisher Editor Michael Knight.

Welcome to this edition of Earth Change Report.

Trinidad Tobago Mud Volcano area
The "Nothing Will Happen" Mindset

A mud volcano in Trinidad Tobago is showing signs of increased activity – but the locals are showing no signs of concern.

“Villager Ramadheen Ramjass, 50, (says): ‘Nothing will happen, there is no need to worry about the frequent activity of the volcano these days.’

“Ramjass said the excessive mud lava is associated with heavy rainfall and lunar changes and is an activity which village elders have grown accustomed to.

Trinidad Mud Volcano
“‘Whenever moon changes we get plenty lava — sometimes the entire cone is covered with lava and that is why we never take it on.’ ”

In fact, they’d like to see the five acre site, which is only 63 feet above sea level, turned into a tourist attraction so people can have a picnic and watch the mud and lava boil and bubble.

Cyclone Jokwe over Madagascar

Cyclone Jokwe continues to hammer Madagascar and Mozambique.

It has already killed 10 people and displaced over 55,000 others - and this weekend, it is hitting the tourist regions with winds up to 200 miles an hour.

Pic courtesy NOAA: The compact Tropical Cyclone Jokwe had just skimmed past northern Madagascar and was moving south into the Mozambique Channel when the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite captured this photo-like image on March 7, 2008.

James Gilliland's Trout Lake Sanctuary near Mt Adams

Quick advertisement: I've been invited to speak on Earth Changes at James Gilliland's Trout Lake Sanctuary near Mt Adams (right) in lower Washington state this year.

Earth Change Report came about because in the DVD "Contact Has Begun" James spoke of earth changes that are becoming increasingly severe.

Scores of subscribers have bought the DVD already (if you're one, you might want to skip this new trailer which has just been released). If this is your first time round, you might want to watch and buy.

(I put it up on my Youtube channel under the title of "A Really Inconvenient Truth.")

If that gets your attention, you can go here to purchase at the currently reduced price.

Now let's Talk About An Abrupt Economic Crisis

Gold hits $1000 an ounce

This week gold hit an all-time high of $US1000 an ounce.

Per ounce, it is now 500 times more expensive than pipe tobacco.

But unlike tobacco, paper money and your local bank, it's unlikely to go up in smoke - which the global economy is in the process of doing.

Last night the BBC World News pulled no punches in showing how the recession that is upon us already (but denied by those who have created it) has forced once-affluent people around Los Angeles to sell their homes and cars and live under tarpaulins.

At the same time, Nature has stepped in and destroyed huge acreages of crops around the world, so stockpiles of wheat and rice and other produce are at their lowest levels in years.

Production is down. So demand is up. And that means you can expect rapid price increases in all the essentials over the next few months._______________________

sidebar: Billions at risk from wheat super-blight.

A killer wheat disease called Ug-99 (probably for "Uganda 1999" since that's where and when it first appeared) is spreading like AIDS around the world and devastating wheat fields in many countries.

“The threat couldn't have come at a worse time. Consumption has outstripped production in six of the last seven years, and (wheat) stocks are at their lowest since 1972...."

In reality, we're not just talking about abrupt earth changes.

We're also talking about abrupt lifestyle changes. Which is all the more reason to be aware, and prepare, as quickly as possible.

Unsurprisingly, while Wall Street heads for the wall, commodity prices are now soaring - which will fuel inflation even further.

In some respects it's as if we've all been traveling in the comfort of a Jumbo Jet.

There we sit, happily watching the movies on our own individual screens, comfortably imagining that the pilot has everything under control and we'll get there soon.

The stewards deliver our peanuts and wine.

The bathrooms are there when we want them.

There's plenty of gas stored somewhere out of sight.

The plane is mostly on automatic.

So are we - and there's nothing to worry about, let alone think about.

When the plane shudders going through some turbulence, it's no big deal.

We know there are oxygen masks overhead if things really get serious - and the captain will let us know in advance if we should prepare, right?

More turbulence occurs. The fasten seat belts light goes on.

We comply. We're locked in and safe, right?

It gets worse.

So bad in fact that the staff disappears to their own assigned seats and safety belts.

And it's only then that we start to realize that this plane has only a limited amount of fuel, and it started running out the moment we started using it.

The same can be said for the credit card we got and switched and switched and switched, refusing to acknowledge as we did so that we were simply adding more debt to more debt.

And so this economic crisis will unfold over the next year or so - a plane crash in slow motion.

Those who survive will be the ones who rip the fabric off their seat and make a parachute, or pull the flotation cushion from under their butt and get ready for a hard landing...somewhere.

Elsewhere, there are people who've had their feet firmly planted on the ground. Ground, as in solid earth. Dirt.

Dirt is cheap (but don't tell that to the sub prime mortgage market casualties living under tarps around LA).

If you have dirt, you have something more valuable than gold.

With dirt, you can grow your own pipe tobacco. Or food.

Of course, there has to be a good water supply too, so ideally your dirt will have a productive well.

Then you need shelter. Perhaps a tarp?

The point being made in this rather labored fashion is that it is time to seriously plan and create a self-sufficient environment.

If you look around the plane, you can be certain the majority of the passengers will do nothing until it's too late - and then they'll blame the pilot. Or they'll try and steal your parachute if you've stayed on board too long.

Brightnook

Twenty years ago when I first heard about coming earth changes my partner and I were a bit freaked out.

But it only took three months to get out of the city to a place in the country.

And now here in the US of A - I notice there are many old houses with land in what are seen as "depressed" areas.

Some of them even come with old established fruit trees and out buildings on a half acre of land.

With a good distance between you and the ocean, good elevation as well, and enough room to build a substantial storm shelter, you're looking at "perfect."

Now A Note From The 'How To Tick People Off' Department.

As you know, Earth Change Report is at a crossroads.

I'm in a situation where I have to either charge for it, or not.

So I set up a poll (to which many have responded, and I thank you for that).

Then I sent out a follow-up letter in which I said: "The majority of people who opened the previous mention of this poll have simply ignored it.

"If you're one of them, let me ask you why you even continue your present subscription? If you're not following through and reading the Earth Change Reports - you're wasting bandwidth (which I pay for) and it's bandwidth that could be better used by those who actually value this information."

(Okay - even saints have their bad days...but let's move on)...

Kimberly Stohlman wrote:

Wow, sorry to have been wasting your bandwidth.

Your reports, which I read, tend to make me feel even more powerless since I can't afford to move to higher ground and I'm surrounded by people who don't want to hear this kind of information--and I don't know what to do with my children.(what I really want is to be informed about all my past lives like the guy in contacthasbegun.)

And, a lot of us work all the time trying to help other people and never get paid or credit for it.

So I'll be unsubscribing right now so as not to take up your bandwidth and I probably won't survive the earth changes.

Hi Kimberly.

There's no doubt that this information can make a person feel quite powerless - or a victim of circumstances.

You're not alone in that regard.

The only way through it is to change the way we think.

Then we have to make decisions that will change our present and our future.

Some of these are very difficult.

Especially when the people around you think you're really strange - and they certainly want to hold you down in their way of seeing things.

I did a past life recall session many years ago, so I know what that's about. And it proves nothing really, because in all of them, I wound up dead:-)

This life is the one in which we are alive - for now - and the reason is that we still have things to experience and learn.

I have had to learn how to overcome fear. This requires courage. Courage is knowing you are afraid, but you go ahead and face it, and move forward.

Moving forward requires change - starting with a change of mind - and those changes often mean we leave behind people and places (or they drift out of our lives because they can no longer relate to the way we think).

The greatest asset we have is our imagination.

We can use it to feel sorry for ourselves (I've been there and done that) or we can use it to imagine a different and better future.

So long as we see ourselves as victims of circumstances, we will always be that way - and we will blame everybody and everything for what we don't like about our life.

If we wallow in memories of yesterday, or self pity about where we are today, we will only recreate the yesterdays, or more of the same todays.

On the other hand, we can use exactly the same power of imagination to discipline our thinking, to visualize a safe future beyond all the turmoil, and as if by magic, life will change and the future unfolds in completely unexpected and delightful ways.

Best wishes on your journey.

Sincerely.

Michael Knight

Thank you for your gracious response. I've been stuck in "victim" for a long time. I'll work on the imagination part...I love my version of a safe and loving future.

kind regards, Kim.

Would it be okay for me to use our correspondence in a future newsletter? I can delete or change your name to Anonymous - if you wish.

Kim: Absolutely. I don't need to be anonymous anymore...but you can decide how you want to format it.

Now, I might need to subscribe again.... :)

Kim wasn't the only one to react as if I had wielded a blunt instrument - but her comment that she might not survive the earth changes surely expresses the fear many of us have had to face.

In my case it has meant a long walk on the wild side and eventually deep study of many spiritual paths, always looking for answers to questions like "where was I before I got here?" and "where do I go when it's over?"
Dr Miceal Ledwith

Others have had similar questions. Among them is Dr Miceal Ledwith.I am honored to be able to offer his latest DVD here.

It is called "Orbs: Clues To A More Exciting Universe."

It fits with the Earth Changes theme, because we are looking to a future beyond the chaos when the consciousness of the entire planet will have taken quite a major leap in evolution.

We will be totally aware that we do indeed live in a multi-dimensional universe - and the proof of that is available right now.

More From The Poll Correspondence

Steven writes:

> Hello Michael, > > > > I have to agree that the information you provide here is invaluable. But I do have mixed feelings.

A big part of me is going to the more spiritual side of all this I guess. For the first time in my life I'm not afraid ofdeath.

I have been enlightened to the idea that we will all be ok nomatter what. We are eternal beings. Good will prevail. Evil will fail.

Nothing is by chance. I can't speak for everyone but I can tell you that I do enjoy your newsletters tremendously and always look forward to the next.

As I'm sure you are very well aware of, the present economic times are a little tremendous to say the least. I am currently going to school full time and trying to start a business at the same time.

I guess you could say that to most people 24.00 dollars doesn't sound like much and in reality it's not and I'm sure your time is more than well worth the 24.00 but I guess I need a little nudge to pay the measly 24.00 and that is why I have not voted one way or another as of yet.

I am more inclined to vote yes for the wealth of information that I'm sure it will present but like I mentioned earlier I believe in my heart that we will all be ok no matter what happens on ourbeloved mother earth.

I hope this has somehow given you some insight as to maybe what some people are thinking, well at least me anyways. I'm sureI'll probably bite the bullet and subscribe as I do enjoy your newsletter.

> Thanks for listening, > > Steven

............

Hi Steve.

I'm honored that you took time to email me.

Just a quick response.

I too am on the "spiritual" path, in my own way.

But it's a path that does not quite agree with the idea that "we'll all be okay" - simply because the responsibility for being "okay" is a very personal one.

We are indeed divine and immortal beings - but we also inhabit bodies that are given to mortal matters, such as drowning, or getting crushed in an earthquake, or blown away in a tornado.

Those are just the facts of physical life - which is why as physical beings we are responsible for preserving the body while we develop the mind and the spiritual consciousness that requires genuine help while we're here.

(Remember - there were tens of thousands of devout Christians killed in the Bandah Aceh tsunami.....their spirits have gone on, but they were definitely not "okay" when the wave struck).

In other words, Nature does not stop for a milli-second to decide how spiritual we are. BUT she does preserve those who have taken steps to preserve themselves.

The other unsaid thing about expecting everything to be "okay" is this. If you understand reincarnation (which I know is a fact of life) then you should also be aware that each life we have, is a soul opportunity for evolution of the body and mind and spirit.

HOWEVER - each time we pick up a new body, we also pick up a brain that needs to be re-programmed. It has no memory of the previous lifetime (only the innate soul/spirit might have the occasional deja vu moment or flashback and leave us wondering 'what the heck was that about?').

Education/knowledge, is the key to uncovering these mysteries - and in doing so, one can honestly evolve way beyond what conventional wisdom imagines to be the case.

Therefore, it really is of the utmost importance to preserve the physical being, rather than simply imagining that being 'spiritual' will ensure that we are 'okay.'

(Question: What/who is 'not' spiritual?)

And if you've ever experienced even a few life-threatening moments, you'll understand what I'm saying.

Yes - perhaps some 'miracle' has seen you through such an event - but for what reason? Well, I put it to you that the reason is to preserve your body so you can continue to expand your mind, discover exactly why you are here, and become even greater than you have ever been in this or any previous life.

Maybe that sounds like a tall order - but can you think of a better explanation for why we're here?).

....

I haven't mentioned it so far, but if I do go ahead with the new newsletter, I think I'll make it easier for those in your situation by maybe spreading payments over three months...or something like that.

Keep well.

Time for me to go check on the animals:-)

Sincerely.

Michael Knight

....................

Hello Michael,

Actually, the honor is all mine.

I didn't expect such a quick response.

Point taken. And put in such an eloquent manner. I do have a lot to learn and am learning more everyday.

I do value this life and your right I would like to be all that I can be no matter what that may be.

I guess I will be one of the 100 to say yes.

Thanks for taking the time away from the animals to respond to my email and keep up the great work!!!

Look forward to more.

Sincerely,

Steven

Last Call For The Newsletter Poll

Again - my thanks to those who have responded so far.

I'm leaving the poll up for a few more days because there's a sort of break point that will decide whether it will happen.

The idea of spreading payments over three months might also make a difference to some potential subscribers.

But the main thing is, I really need a "yes" or a "no" to figure this out.

Click here to go to the poll page.

And thank you for your participation.

If you have Outlook/Express click here to send an email to those you know telling them (in your own words) about this newsletter.

For those who like privacy - we have established a Private - Members Only - Earth Change Forum.

There are numerous excellent videos there, plus some very informative preparedness information.

The initial entry fee is only $5.96 (for the first week). That gives you time to decide whether it's for you, and then the access fee drops to only $4.95 per month.

Members have offered some wonderful feedback about how useful the forum is. You can read more and take the trial here.
