Engine Modification Report August 15, 2009 |
Greetings <
I'm making this a special issue of Earth Change Report - focusing on the recent engine modification I had done. It fits with Earth Changes because anything we can do to reduce pollution has to be good for the planet. After I reported that I had reinstalled the throttle body but hadn't yet done a mileage test I received this email. Mr. Knight: I have been talking with Ron Hatton about his service to increase gas mileage and horse power in a vehicle. He gave me your name to contact. Evidently you have had his service done on your vehicle and I am just asking if you would e-mail me back with the results and what you think of the Gadgetman. Thank you, - Larry By then, I had replaced the modified part, discovered the car had a LOT more power, and had just completed a mileage test. So I wrote back.... Hi Larry. I would give Ron a 100% endorsement. I have a 1990/91 Buick Le Sabre LTD which has a 3800 V6 engine. In my experience, this is one of the best engine/transmission combinations available in that as it comes it is actually quite economical for an engine of that size. It was getting an average of 23 mpg in daily running ("round town" or "city" mileage) before Ron's modification to the throttle body. I have not yet posted the full results in my newsletter, except to say that there was definitely a very noticeable increase in power, and the car now runs several hundred rpm slower and smoother. I filled the tank after reinstalling the TB and did 325 miles before the next top up. I drove "as normal" including some fast passing and lane change maneuvers, so I was not trying to manipulate the results; if anything I was looking to see how well the modification performed both power-wise - and it certainly gave me extra power for passing etc - and in terms of mileage.
I topped up again and checked the results on a spreadsheet (ignore the dollar sign in the final two figures) and found I had done those 325 miles at an average of 27.66 mpg. This is an improvement of
I think that's remarkable for a V6 engine which was already quite economical. As I said, I'd give Ron a 100% endorsement. Sincerely.
Michael Knight
PS: More miles per gallon, more power, and an engine which is doing fewer rpm (revolutions per minute) translates into a much longer engine life expectancy as well. PPS: As far as ECR subscribers are concerned, should you go ahead with having similar work done for your vehicle/s, you will continue to qualify for his special price (originally that offer was to have expired on August 1st, but it has now been extended). And BTW I get no commission on any such orders.
You can check it all out at http://www.gadgetmanscoolcarmods.com or email Mr Hatton at gadgetman@gadgetmantechnologies.com. Make sure you put ECR in the subject line so you get the special treatment. So I bought this program this week - one of several I have purchased recently to review before endorsing (or not). Like the throttle body mod, this one deserves a FULL endorsement. But you're your own person:-) It comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee. Check It Out - Before The Shop Closes. How about you pass this newsletter on to your friends. They just might be very interested in the following PS at least. ........................ PS - In case you missed it - during the "Bird Flu" flap (pun:-) a doctor put together a special report on how us non-medical people can look after ourselves IF we get influenza. You can download the free report from this page - just click to get started.
