I have a fox that guards my hen house, and every time a chicken goes missing, the fox tells me he's going to tighten up his security system.

Whenever he does that, the chickens get thinner and some of them stop laying eggs. The fox tells me this is a worry, because a lot of the chickens are now asking for unemployment benefits and the numbers keep growing.

However, as the guardian of the hen house he assures me that although the situation is the worst it has been in decades, he has everything under control.

Naturally, I expect him to be telling me the truth, so I am going to give him more foxes to help him guard the chickens.

In return he has offered to inject paper eggs (which he magically makes out of the ethers and they are accepted everywhere as the real thing) into the production cycle. My part of the bargain is to give him a bigger percentage of all the real eggs the chickens lay in the future, plus pay back those he has given me, plus a few extra as interest.

I estimate that since my chickens are now laying 100 eggs a year, and he has given me 100 eggs at 10 per cent interest for 12 months, I can repay the principal (100 eggs) quite easily.

The down side is that I won't have anything set aside for running costs next year, and I certainly won't be able to declare a profit.

In fact, since my 100 eggs will only balance out the 100 eggs he gave me, I will still have to find the additional 10 eggs to pay the interest.

Since I'll have no money (eggs) left over to pay the interest, I was smart enough to build in a clause in the loan which will allow me to get another loan to pay the interest - as well as cover running costs for the following 12 months.

The fox is a very good friend to people like me. In fact he is now suggesting that I should just retire and let him and his foxy family look after the whole shebang.

"Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said Friday the financial crisis that has pounded the country — coupled with higher inflation — is taking a toll on the economy and poses a major challenge to Fed policymakers as they try to restore stability.

"He again urged Congress to give the central bank explicit authority to oversee systems that process payments and other financial transactions by investment firms and banks."

What this means is that banks and investment firms like MorganFox and GoldmanFox and BearFox and RothschildFox and RockefellerFox - some of whom actually established and own FedFox - would be able to exercise total control over themselves and their international relatives without interference from silly chicken owners like me.

Oh dear...I think I feel a depression coming on.

And I'm not talking about the psychotic sort. I'm talking about something bigger than the Great Depression - soon.

(QwikAd: That's why, although I usually focus in this newsletter on Earth Changes, right now I'm suggesting the next big impact on our lives will be a snowballing Depression that could take us down the gurgler in just a matter of months.

Therefore, I'm using the "Basic Preparedness" home study course to get my act together right now. In just this one place, there is enough information to save a person hundreds of dollars and a lot of time when it comes to surviving anything from this next Great Depression, to whatever Nature has in store as well.

Now you too can kill two birds with one stone. To 'prepare' is to prepare to weather anything, from job loss to rising food prices to power outages, storms, floods - you name it, if you're prepared, you'll get through it.

If you act now, you can also save eggs - and maybe even have enough left over to buy a fox fur coat to keep you warm in the cold days ahead.

But seriously - if you're in any doubt about how bad this depression is going to be, would you listen to the world's richest man - Warren Buffet?

He has a few choice words to say about the two biggest housing mortgage companies in America. They're called FannieMae and FreddieMac - and they are not only on life support...they're as much as 95 per cent dead.

"Fannie, down 95 percent in the past year, advanced 24 cents $3.40 at 8:18 a.m. in New York trading. The stock was trading at almost $70 a year ago. Freddie advanced 23 cents to $3.39 and is down 91 percent this year."

And then there's "The Disconnect Between Supply and Demand in the Gold & Silver Market" by James Conrad. It's an article that goes to the heart of the fox fraternity, explains why gold and silver are hard to get - and warns us once again about a planned economic collapse.

..... (QwikAd: Want to know what you can do to understand and get through all these economic horror shows and the earth changes that science tells us are inevitable?

I put my many years' experience as an investigative researcher and writer into compiling an eBook titled "Earth Changes - Mind Matters."

I guarantee you can use the information it contains (some 27,000 words, dozens of helpful links, very important videos as well) to literally make a difference in your life.

It has only been available for two weeks, so it is still on a special introductory price. The testimonials have been great. Check it out here. .......

And now - what's Nature up to?

TROPICAL STORM FAY

Tropical Storm Fay has dumped more than two feet of rain along parts of Florida's low-lying central Atlantic coast in five days and on Friday was making its third pass through the state.

Florida has been in a drought for the past two years but Fay has now had some counties declared disaster areas because of flooding.

Nevertheless. the storm has had little real impact on the drought situation in neighboring states.

DROUGHT RECORD

"Caves deep in the Appalachians hold clues to prehistoric climate change and century-long droughts that have occurred at least seven times across eastern North America, according to researchers."

TSUNAMI AFTERMATH CONTINUES

The Norway Post reports that Norwegians engaged in the identification of victims from the tsunami in South-East Asia have since been suffering from respiratory infections.

Experts believe these are caused by the strong chemicals they were spayed with from head to toe to avoid infections from the dead.

The Pakistan Daily reveals that "active mud volcanoes in the Arabian sea, rising sea levels and deforestation of mangroves may cause a tsunami"...to hit the Pakistani coastline in the region of Karachi and Gwadar.

Protection measures being suggested are the planting of mangroves seven layers deep along the shoreline to blunt the impact of waves that could be up to 50ft high and traveling at up to 750 miles an hour.

Pakistan was hit by a tsunami after a super earthquake in 1819, and in 1945 a tsunami smashed into two coastal towns killing the entire population.

Today's concerns are that undersea volcanoes and melting ice at the north and south poles plus the cutting of mangroves for firewood and fish traps are laying the foundation for similar disasters in future.

ONE WAY TO SURVIVE A TSUNAMI

I know a man who designed and built a trimaran that was hit by a vertical wall of water at least 60ft high.

The trimaran flipped over - but it stayed afloat - and 119 days later John and his crew finally washed ashore.

That experience of living and surviving in the raw forces of Nature has culminated in the design of a structure that will roll with the waves of an earthquake.

If an underground home (and it is a lot classier than your average cave or bunker) is on your mind, take a look at the Sea Egg.

Or write to seaegg "at" contacthasbegun.com for more information. (You'll have to use @ for "at" and no spaces to make a real email address out of it - but it's written that way to stop spam bots harvesting it).

FOOD CRISIS DEEPENS

AID AGENCIES have said that up to 14 million people could be affected by the escalating food crisis in East Africa.

Ethiopia is one of the worst-hit countries, while parts of northern Kenya, Uganda, and Somalia are also facing acute food shortages. The price of maize in Ethiopia has quadrupled in the past year.

Despite recent rains, land owners have no crops because they were forced to eat their seed to keep their families alive before the rains came.

The price of grain has gone up three-fold since January.

A Christian Aid report estimates that about 862 million people worldwide lacked sufficient food before the current crisis.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu Writing in The Sun on Wednesday, said “Encouraging farmers (in the US) to produce biofuels has led to food being used for fuel instead of going on to people’s plates.”

(Note: There's a compounding effect to this as well. I notice locally that many acres of rasberries are being ripped out so the farmers can cash in on corn-for-fuel subsidies.

This means consumers lose access to both corn and raspberries - so the price of both will go up, while the growers benefit from taxpayer dollars.

That looks like a four-way hit in the pocket to me; we pay the subsidies, then pay higher prices for raspeberries and corn - and despite the availability of ethanol fuels the cost of gas continues to go up at the pump).

TYPHOON NURI

Typhoon Nuri is pummeling Hong Kong after leaving seven dead in its passage across the Philippines island of Luzon.

"Hong Kong is frequently hit by typhoons and tropical storms during the northern hemisphere's summer. Tropical Storm Kammuri pummeled the city earlier this month, forcing schools and markets to close and causing delays in the delivery of horses for the Olympics.

"Kammuri left 119 people dead in Vietnam after it passed through Hong Kong and China, where at least 40 died from flooding caused by the remnants of the storm.

"Typhoon Fengshen, which slammed into the eastern island of Samar in June, left 730 people dead and 637 missing..."

Sincerely,

Michael Knight.
