2010 - Year Of Change
January 07, 2010
Greetings from Michael Knight, Editor, Earth Change Report.

First up for 2010, welcome to new subscribers (invite your friends too, okay:-)

As I was saying to my wife this morning, sometimes I have to remind myself that my level of knowledge is maybe way ahead of the average.

That's why sometimes my newsletters seem to be rather blunt - because it's not possible to explain the background or research that goes into every statement made.

This month - the beginning of 2010 - is the 50th anniversary of my start in journalism in New Zealand - and the 20th anniversary of my move to the United States.

Much of that time has been spent in learning about what we now call Earth Changes. And they're here.. now... with a vengeance. So brace yourself. And prepare yourself.

2010 is going to be a year of seminal change - like it or not.

It would be wonderful to say this is truly the year of hope and change and peace and prosperity for all. But it's not.

Earth changes are kicking into high gear, and social changes - wars and all - are going to dominate and escalate.

On the Earth Changes front, 2010 is only one week old and we're already seeing Mag 6.0 and above earthquakes along with tsunamis almost every day.

That does not bode well for the next 12 months.

Preparedness and even relocation from danger areas is what this year should be about - because as we've been saying for a couple of years, Nature will have its way with us - and if she does to us what we've been doing to her we are going to be in a world of hurt.

An earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale hit the western part of the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific Tuesday night, followed by a number of smaller quakes with a magnitude of five, including one at 6.0 magnitude.

This follows a 7.2-magnitude earthquake that hit the Solomon Islands on Monday, and then a 6.5-magnitude quake on Tuesday. Not to mention many 'quakes in the 5.0 range as well.

Hundreds of houses have been damaged and despite landslides that have occurred in steep country many Solomon Islanders have retreated to higher ground because of tsunami fears. Officials report no injuries or deaths (And when they do, the numbers are always understated).

As if determined to deliver an average of one Mag 6.0 per day, Terra hit New Zealand's South Island (the one that moved several inches toward Australia in a big 'quake last year) with a Magnitude 6.0 on Wednesday night.

Cold Consequences

In the Northern Hemisphere 2010 has come in with a blast...of cold, cold and more cold.

Blizzards and snowstorms have wreaked havoc in China since December, and the Xinhua News Agency says this will have a disastrous effect on crops and livestock - which means higher food prices and food shortages in coming months.

China is now limiting electricity supplies to some businesses and urban areas because of coal fuel shortages to run its power plants - and another blizzard is expected this weekend.

South Korea is suffering under its biggest snowstorm in nine years.

Officially, at least 80 people have died in Europe in the past few days because of serious storms and freezing temperatures.

The Eiffel Tower in Paris was closed as a tourist attraction - and air travel has been disrupted everywhere with thousands of flights being canceled.

Another Eurostar train has broken down in the Channel Tunnel.

The news gets no better in the Eastern United States.

New York is bracing itself for temperatures about 13 degrees below average in the next few days.

The cold and blizzard conditions that are sweeping that part of the country have affected the citrus crop in Florida...and even into Mexico the severe weather is creating freezing temperatures in many places.

Aside from a cold easterly for the last 48 hours here in this part of the Pacific North West it has been the strangest winter in 20 years. There was an Arctic blast and snow for a week or so in December, but the place has been unusually dry since then.

Lamb Pie

Just as well too, because the first lamb was born yesterday (four or five more expected) and hopefully we'll have no losses to the cold (or dogs) this season.

Speaking of food....this is going to be the year of food shortages almost everywhere.

That's why we're saying if you haven't done so yet, start thinking seriously about how you'll get on when the prices skyrocket and deliveries quit - which is quite likely here in the US where they rely on a three-day delivery chain. Dumb.

Floods Follow Droughts

Overseas again - in Kenya at least 35 people are dead and 30,000 displaced by heavy rains and floods.

On the brighter side, the rains have somewhat alleviated drought conditions in some areas - but the downside is that they also washed away crops.

Let's step back a couple of years and recall that Australia was in the grip of an epic drought in which authorities were threatening to cut off water supplies to the country's bread bowl.

This week they're saying "Rain drumming on tin roofs lifted the spirit of those clinging to a life on the land.

"...some of Australia's 120,000 farming businesses had suffered crop failure year after year after the drought took hold in 2001."

How this Christmas gift of rain in parched areas will play out remains to be seen.

In fact it was no gift at all to some who had "lost tens of thousands of sheep and cattle to drownings. Helicopters were brought in to drop feed to stranded animals, but many were lost. "Fencing torn out by flooding needs to be replaced and thousands of kilometers of dirt roads repaired. Machinery is damaged, and there are even farmers hand-feeding their livestock because their pastures are waterlogged."

New E-Book

So what's up with the weather?

It sucks.

Everywhere.

One of the reasons why is being explored in a new e-book that will be out shortly.

It examines the role of weather control - done behind the scenes for some very disturbing reasons by those who have been developing that potential for about 30 years.

It won't be a book for the faint-hearted, because it gets to the nub of things - as well as forecasts and even prophecies that will shock a lot of folks.

And it takes a walk on the wild side as far as Extraterrestrials are concerned; their role in history, and what they're up to now - and when will the benevolent ones show up?

(Much of that was the subject of the documentary I directed - "Contact Has Begun." It should be somewhere near the top of your 2010 "must see" list if you want to see the future).

So, what else is new for 2010?

War in Yemen - which along with Afghanistan is said to harbor at least 100 members of Al-Qaida.

Imagine that. There are only 200 Al Qaida members in two countries and we need yet another war zone to deal with them!

Ain't it amazing that we have leaders who are prepared to spend billions of dollars and kill countless people - we're talking hundreds of thousands in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and elsewhere - to keep us safe from 200 terrorists?

I guess that's because if we didn't deploy and destroy trillions of dollars worth of equipment and all the troops to go with it, we'd be in deep doodoo wouldn't we.

Frankly, if you believe anything the western media is feeding you about the reasons for this new war in Yemen, you're being conned. Just as we were with the lies about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and it's Al Qaida ties.

Maybe it's because of the propaganda people are constantly exposed to on television, or the ranting talk show hosts on radio or the sycophantic spinmeisters on the various newspapers, or maybe it's because of all those pharmaceuticals in our drinking water (21st Century Kool-Aid you could call it)...but for whatever reason, the anti-war protests seem to have been few and far between. And certainly not reported as they should be.

This year will see a change in that as well. And their may be violent authoritarian reactions.

It's a change that started quietly some time back when soldiers started finding out what it's really like to invade another country and throw families out of their homes...not to mention the killing and torturing.

Some came back and refused to go back.

Others (as many as 50,000 in the US alone) have gone AWOL.

And some have started veterans' movements that are campaigning for a stop to the mindless slaughter.

If by chance you think we might have seen enough bloodshed - not to mention the ruthless slaughter of civilians - then you should visit "Prysner of Conscience."

Read it. See what Iraq veteran Mike Prysner has done since he came home - and you might be moved to save a copy and pass it on. Because unless some of us are prepared to spread the call for an immediate peace - this world is going to hell in hurry.

That's one small action you can do to make a difference in 2010.

Help Yourself.

Here's something you can do fopr yourself this year.

If you're waking up to the fact that the earth itself is going into convulsions, and they're only going to get worse, you should seriously consider buying Basic Preparedness" - it's where to start on this whole journey of self-sufficient living.

Being prepared for something as simple as a power outage (for days at a time in sub-zero temperatures maybe) will also have you prepared in advance for other things.

New Earth Alerts

Meanwhile....have you also thought of trying the "other" newsletter? New Earth Alerts is where the deeper and more specific information about what's up and what's coming up can be found.

Prophecies and forecasts for 2010 and beyond. That sort of thing.

Subscribe now - try it free for a month - and see what you think. It just might make a huge difference to your state of knowledge, and your peace of mind about the future.

It's called "New Earth" because when the changes are over, that's what we'll be living in.

And that's where we'll finally have that peace and prosperity for all. But first we have to get there, and "New Earth Alerts" is about exactly that.

There's only one thing left to do.
